EDWARD J. ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

This scholarship is awarded in memory of Edward J. Robinson, who loved and played the game of rugby.  Ed Robinson, a resident of Cheshire, was known for the positive encouragement he gave to others, especially to young adults. He believed that the self discipline and team play engendered by the sport of rugby would help to form a young adult’s successful career path. Ed was a founder of the Cheshire Rugby program and played rugby for the New York Rugby Club, the New York Athletic Club and the Connecticut Grey Rugby Football Club.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Edward J. Robinson Scholarship Committee will award scholarships each year to graduating senior boys and/or girls who are members of a youth rugby team, to be used for their continuing education at a 2 or 4 year accredited college or technical school.
